Where have you been/going on holiday this year?

I'll start, we (me & mrs) went to Portugal in May of this year, first time out there and it was absolutely fantastic! What a lovely country it is especially The Algarve where we stayed. Already planning on going again next year.

Where have any of you guys been to or planning on doing so? If you get a chance post a pic or two, as you've probably gathered we love pics!

In march we went to the Southern Spain in the Sierra Nivada mountains.
Few months ago had a long weekend on the Isle of whight (perfect jimny roads)
Going to Sicily in a few weeks. Looking forward to it as I love Italy and have never
been to Sicily.

That's awesome. Sierra Nevada Spain looks like they have some really good 4x4 tours out there. Did you drive much?
I googled the Isle of Wight roads and see what you mean.
Sicily looks beautiful, when we booked for May we looked at Sicily also Spain but chose Portugal.

Sierra Nevada mountains was great. Had lunch in a village down in the valleys and it was 18/20 C
Drove home over the mountains and it was -4C at the top with 6" of snow. :laugh:

Off to have another go at the north coast 500 in October. The last time I was up there with the defender and it was the wrong vehicle. This will be remedied with the Jimny. Im hopefully going to find something else for the wife to be entertained by then I can commune with the Jimny and the road and have bliss for one day of my holiday. The rest of the week will be spent going "yes dear" to an interminable stream of indistinguishable historic buildings and other such dreariness. With any luck my day will be the only dry one then i can use the rain as an excuse to not get out of the car.

Allan, you got the best of both climates and look at the size of that horse!
