This entire thread might as well be written in hieroglyphics to me, but I do read everything on here, and it amazes me that two guys who have probably never met but share a common interest can come up with a solution to John's problem......just like that :blink:

It is one of the wonders of the internet and it shows how helpful people can be Gus.
When I first started guitar playing we had to make our own amps as factory made stuff cost a fortune. There were no PCBs to speak of then, most of it was done from schematics so it is surprising that it is such a simple set up inside the buttkicker. I look inside a video player and think "no way"!
The problem is diagnostics - the smoke in this machine seemed to have no real source. :sick:
