If global warming means warmer and wetter winters does this mean I can finally take 4WD off my car shopping list - maybe replace it with a hovercraft - as snow seems less likely every year.

You think you are short of snow, try living on the south coast.
Two flakes of snow and everybody runs to the local shop and buys all the milk and bread!!!

If you get rid of your 4x4's what's the point in having a welding mask ?? :woohoo: :woohoo:

Cos for one I only buy old motors  and inherit OPP (other peoples' problems), secondly my second choice after 4x4s is vans :woohoo: and finally I weld many other things. B) In fact I ain't done car welding in many years, around 2001 now I am thinking about it for an MoT for a Fiesta.

I tell a fib, I welded up some seat brackets a few months ago if that counts - that's car work I guess and a regular event.

You set me off now, I tend to fabricate mods like stuff for my trailer and so on.

It's gonna be great having my left hand free rather than holding an aristocrat's type face mask.

A 4x4 has never been necessary for driving on UK roads. Think how much you could have saved over the years if you'd just had normal cars! Probably enough to buy the hovercraft.
