Awful to see there's been a plane crash at the Shoreham by Sea air display. It happened this afternoon and is only 4 miles from me. Seven dead... Tragic.

I have a small and selfish dilemma tomorrow morning.
I run 3 minibuses to pick up staff for work. The driver of the Worthing route picks up staff from Worthing through to Lancing and onto Small dole where my Contract Packing company is situated.
The usual driver of this route is on holiday this week and I personally have to drive to Worthing to start the pick up of staff at 06:30 (a relief driver takes over for the week from Monday evening). I looks like the A27 will still be closed and I will have to find another route (I really don't like the idea of passing the crash site, even if it is open).
I think it would be better to take another way to Worthing and back, even if it means my staff will be late. Luckily for them they will be paid even if I am late in getting them to work, it's not their fault.
It looks now like it's 11 gone now. Not looking forward to this trip at all

I'm a copper in Eastbourne and it looks like I'll be guarding the crash site on my night shift tonight.
The guys who were there yesterday told me about it- far far worse than has been reported. A really sad situation.

I can't even imagine what you guys have to see and work with. I'm glad I don't have to and that there are people like you who can!
Accidents like this shake us up slightly more as our youngest is in the RAF. The Mrs went into shock/panic mode and rang son up at base. He had already been alerted.
