The local petrol station has become a Tesco one. Everytime I hang up the nozzle it adds 1p to the cost. It did it before the takeover. I wonder how much profit they make because of this.

that's curious as my local filling station that now gives tesco points (so assume it's now tesco related) does the same. Thniking about it, maybe I'm weird ... but like to eak the pump lever to round numbers ....

but when I put the nozzle back onto the pump at say £32.00, as I walk away and turn back to check the pump number ... the dial's change to £32.01

think it's on a time delay to jump a penny whilst you walk to the kiosk to pay

now I always put in £31.99 and hand over £32.00 saying to keep the change

Yes, I round off to £15 or maybe £20. If I put in £14.99 or £19.99 it seems to stay at that and I get the penny change. It is weird how it clicks on the extra one penny.

Do it to the round pound and pay cash and if it goes a penny over just refuse to give them the penny. What are they going to do about it? This has annoyed me for a while.

I wouldn't use Tescos fuel anyway. It kept bringing on the engine management light on for both my Jimny and the Mrs BMW!

When I am paying with plastic it is impossible to do anything. I use that gas station cos it has loads of pumps and there is no queuing where all the others around always have queues. Sometime give cash and to be fair he doesn't ask for the 1p but I wonder how much they make from it.
