Classic cars

Hi all. Im glad this thread popped up
I used to have a ford capri gt4 which i had huge plans for but sadly wrote off going round a corner while looking at another capri. Cuts me deep still to this day. I also dabled in the VW scene briefly when i picked up a completely standard polo classic saloon, 30k on clock, owner...... £250!!
I lowered it, stuck ATS classics on it and a few mods inside.
Sadly i have only these two pics (so far) of both my cars but will hunt for more.

I have a few Classic cars but there is one special one, which my Dad bought new on 14th March 1946 from Lanes Motors in Melbourne. I still have it and it will be 69 in March 2015.

It is a 1946 Morris 8 Series E 4 door Saloon.

No water pump (autosyphon instead), no oil filter, 6 volt pos to earth, 2 1/2" rims with 4" crossply tyres and 8" drum brakes all round. Wooden floors of course and side-valve engine.



Still have the original 1946 Number plates (Vic LV-708)

The car is on Club plates, which means I can drive for 90 days each year for $132 which is quite a bargain.

That is a beauty. It reminds me of my father's Austin 7 that he sometimes took me to school in. My first car was a Ford Pop but I drove it home and hated it so sold it to the milkman. :laugh:

My father and I run a Lotus Esprit S2.2, the limited edition end of production S2, with longer stroke for increased displacement, leading to more torques! It's 1981, he bought it in '83. It's not had much work done so it's virtually original and in great nick!

We also have a Triumph Herald convertible, 1300, 1969. it's almost a barn find, except the engine is from a spitfire. Otherwise, largely original, rot free.
