R/C Jimny

I am sure a few of you have these sat on your desks at home.

Well one of my other hobbies is Scale RC modelling and Rock Crawling and I have waiting for a good few years to find a suitable donor vehicle to turn the Tamiya Jimny into a full RC model, well last week I thought I had found it. When I got home with my purchase it I was a little out. The wheelbase of the donor was 5mm to short and the track was way to wide. Well after a good few hours of fettling including me building a whole new front end I have this.

Sorry about the paint was just a quick job before the body gets cut up to make a soft top version to make a mini- me of mine. I will do another video when I can find some suitable terrain as it does have suspension (although its only 2wd) but its 2.4ghz fully proportional

Does that run a 540 motor in the standed tamiya jimny

Is it just a scale model you turned into an R/C? Or whats the story

The box says its 1:32 but its more like 1:25 so palm sized. It was a motorized kit which took 2 AA batteries to move it forward with no suspension. As you can see its full rc now. Just a bit of fun

If you want a crawler motor let me know i build drop in conversions for the 130 can size
