hi! i've been doing some meaning to buy a gopro but can't decide on which one to buy, does anybody here owns one? i've been looking at the black edition but it worries me that i'm going to pay extra for some features that won't be useful to me... any experience in this area?

there all pretty good.. I've only got a Hero2 but its still top quality.. this is something I did earlier this year..
the hero3 is better I am told..
Make sure you buy a big and fast memory card too, don't scrimp!
the black model has some nice feature over the other models but to be honest buy the package that best suits your needs as the accessories are quite pricey.. motorsport suction mount is solid as a rock!... get a floatie rear door just in case it drops off in a muddy bomb hole..

I have a Hero 2.
I rarely use the highest resolutions because the files are so big they bog my computer down, and most of the quality is lost if you upload them to the net.
Even the lowest spec one will be a great camera and they all have the one big feature that makes GoPros great- you can put them anywhere, attached to anything in any environment and you will get a great video. So just choose whatever suits your budget really.

i have got the gopro hd hero 2, the gopro hero 3 are ok but they are having problems with them, so if you want a go pro i would go for the HD hero 2

i have got the gopro hd hero 2, the gopro hero 3 are ok but they are having problems with them, so if you want a go pro i would go for the HD hero 2

yeah forgot to add you need a blommin good computer to do the editing.. bought my go-pro then spent a grand on a laptop just so I could edit.. still good though and yes use a lower resolution to save editing time..

we've got an old school SD motorsport one still get great videos and only cost £60 from ebay
