Slindon is very good. It has bits for everyone and is massive. Have a drive around the access tracks and get out for a walk on your first time to see what's what, then start to have a go at some of the tracks off the access tracks and build yourself up.

Just walk each one first and be aware that with no lift even small ruts will see you grounded out on your diffs, radius arms and radius arm mounts. The ground is largely sandy but can be very hard and clay like. Trust me, I've tried putting tent pegs into it!

If you are new to offroading, before trying any of the big hills, read up on how to deal with failed hill climbs, such as putting it in reverse and bringing the clutch up to let it down under engine braking whilst steering it down straight. If you stalled, leave it stalled as it will start as if being bump started on the way down.

If you stall it just trying to drive over an obstacle you will have found that the standard Jimny transfer box low ratios are not that low. It may not want to start and may just turn over. Don't panic, it's not broken, Jimnys are like that. Give it full throttle to let more air in and once it catches let your foot off the throttle. If is still won't start, don't run your battery flat trying, just give it a minute and try again. It will start. It floods for some reason.

I read of others on here going to Slindon. Perhaps you could hook up with them and have them show you round. It's a bit far for me I'm afraid.
