Home CCTV system was created by helijohn
I am looking for a hard drive CCTV system with two cameras maybe expandable to four. It needs to be as simple to use as a DVD player and as easy to set up. I've had one already and it was a nightmare. For a start it didn't come with an actual HDD which I wasn't expecting. It needed mouse control and I struggled getting that to do owt and I am fairly computer savvy.

So what do you suggest please???

I use a Maplin one that was sold off discounted for £20 as "B grade".

It did not have a disc drive but my old laptop donated one.

Two problems to consider:

1. fan noise, I would definitely look for a fanless one.
2. Searching for recorded video, not easy as you have to watch a lot of video rather than cueing through it/

All control is via a command interface using arrows on the front.

Martin

2003 M13 early KAP build.
3" Trailmaster lift with 1.5 Spacers on front
Customised winch bumper and roll cage
235/85R16 Maxxis Bighorns on 16" Rims, 4:1 Rocklobster, Rear ARB locker and on-board air
Corrected arms all-round, rear disks, Recaro seats and harnesses

I quite like this system cos it is sort of like the old VHS sytems where you can take out the SD card to scan the week's scrote activity.

Shot guns are no good as you have to reload to many time ak47 is much better and more reliable
