Whitestones in North Wales? was created by Gromit
Hi folks, does anyone know the status of the lane known as Whitestones in North Wales ?? (SJ157335 to SJ169369)
A group of us are having a camping/laning weekend at Shell Island next weekend and I'm trying to put a route together for the Saturdays laning run.
Dave (Bits4Vits) will be along to advise shortly I'm sure
Also did the lane that runs from SJ209399 to SJ219412 (allt y badi ?) ever reopen after the TRO that was applied ???

Sorry
Just seen this...
Whitestones is open... some repair work seems to have been done, it's nice and undulating just after the stream heading north to south, and the rocks have been replaced to stop people taking the easy route off-piste round it...
Allt-Y-Badi had been "graded" with a layer of concrete over the worst ("best"?) bits... still worthy of a drive up though, it's still a nice lane!

Also, see my latest Blog of Sunday's outing... some nice lanes on there around Capel Curig to Dolwyddelan and then Dolwyddelan back to Betws-y-Coed, and the over the moors from Penmachno to Ysbyty-Ifan and then Ysbyty Ifan towards Cerrigydrudion, then the A5 down to pick up Whitestones from the Glyndyfrdwy end.
Don't forget the "V-Gulley" and the lane up from Pandy
PM / email me and I'll mark some maps up if need be, but you should be able to spot them on the maps from the details above?
