It may well have a 410 lump in already, they came with a 4speed box too.

Its your truck and i wouldn't criticise you for your plans but i personally i wouldn't touch a thing other than put some muds on it, especially if its the original colour. The rest would be just make good and restore, nothing concourse just keep it tidy so you're not afraid to get it in the mud.

Looks a loverly little truck. I do like the older models.
Nice colour on the Mustang too. I did look to swap my TVR for a Roush Stage 1 Mustang but the waiting list on imports was too long

The Q just denotes that you have a soft top LJ.
It's the same with all rag top suzies QJx or QJLx for vitara's.

Hehehe, i'd love to ..............but it sooooooooo pretty as it is

Got underneath it today with my brother and his pal, they are both really hot on Landies and they couldn't believe how good the condition is, huge relief for me :woohoo:

I had a look at the engine (i know absolutely zippo) and I saw the markings: F10A

I checked this out on the 'tinterweb' and it seems this engine appeared in 1982, my little LJ80 is 1981, if i'm correct it seems that the F10A was installed in the SJ410?..............if this is correct would the SJ413 5 speed box bolt straight on? It desperately needs a 5th gear and about another 10-15 MPH.

When you have a proper look around it, it seems to be a design hybrid of a Landrover Defender and a Willy's Jeep, it really is a thing of beauty

Regards

Tony
