Brake Master and Brake issues! was created by J-Bro
Okay the other day my brakes went rubbish!

The pedal would go to the floor or I'd have to pump the pedal for it to work.

So as I checked for leaks and there were none.

So off to the garage.

They said break master cylinder. So they gave me a price of £240 for the part.

So I bought one for £50 used off eBay. It also came with the servo.

Garage fitted master only.

Breaks working fine until my foot went to the floor again and no breaks. When driving forwards it now seems to be fine allthough it does get soft sometimes. I'm not a heavy breaker or anything.

But the weird thing is the brakes basically don't work in reverse!

Can anyone help?! As brakes are kinda needed! Ha

This happened to me recently after fitting a new axle and turns out i hadnt bled the brakes properly anyway i let my local mechanic sort it, he said to get a real good bleed he had to bleed it 6-7 to get all the air out of the system,

Its a bit unearving going at 70 trying to slow down and realising you have no brakes

Back from the garage!!!

The garage took breaks to bits.

Front passenger side break had seized up and the rear breaks were out of alignment and not doing much.

Change of fluid and bled

All okay now.

They did say when in reverse the back breaks should engage first so that's why nothing happened as they weret right.

Also had break master done prior to this as the pedal was always floppy!

Hope this helps!
