fault code/ engine management light.

hi guys,
i have an engine management light come on,and would like to know how to test for the fault code,
when it first came on i disconected the battery and it stayed off for a few days,now its back on,iam tipping lambda sensor or similar,any ideas. thanks in advance steve. :evil:

Get an OBD code reader, as they're cheap and worth it. If not:
