Don't you just love it when you buy 4 tyres advertised on this forum when they arrive two tyres are badly cracked and don't hold air, so basically I've got two usefull tyres that I could have bought new for the same price.

I'd complain to the seller, and ask for half your money back!!

give the seller a chance to make amends before dishing the dirt - stating what, when where, who

may prevent someone else getting ripped off

If I needed a 1.3 engine I'd buy Smoggys but I wouldn't buy the 1.5 as its knackerd and it wouldn't fit anyway. :)

Poor and mis descriptions is the curse of eBay, Preloved and Gumtree and that's only the start. there is ebid and many others. Forums are not necessarily a better risk either, from guns to RC helicopters to guitars, I've had naff deals from them all. Sellers know what they are selling, you'll never convince me otherwise, but the cost of returns sometimes lets them get away with it. I've sent stuff back and it has cost me more than the item cost in the first place, sometimes you have to do it. I could type all night over this topic.

They are right though, see if you can get a deal brokered for a part or full refund.
This is why I wanted escrow introduced as a way to pay.

Do it right - use Hammerite
When the blue light is flashing I am kidding.
