Just joined with new Jimny

Hi everyone.
I just bought my first brand new car. A 2013 white Jimny. I'm still very new to the car but I do a bit of (easy) 4wd-ing.
Hoping ill get some help along the way as I learn.

Also apparently I'm the first to order iPod connectivity in the new model in Australia. Hence I'm the lucky bugger to found out the interface is incompatible with the factory head unit. Anyone else have dramas or is it all aftermarket units??

On my Becker-radio (Germany build) i have a bluetooth handsfree connection with my i-phone.
Until now no problems with it, i'm receiving incoming calls and can call anyone i want from my adressbook.
First thing : enable into your i-pad the bluetooth connection, there you have to put the slider "ON".
Then it will show your car radio in it's list.
I think you have to make also a first connection with your radio with a password (on your radio maybe the password is "1234" or look in your radio's manual for the bluetooth code) and from then it makes automatically connection (it recognizes your i-pad) when your start your radio.
That's the way i did it. Good luck!

Hi,
The factory head unit didn't have Bluetooth or the ability to play iPods when they said it did. I'll add photos. It's been fixed now so I have a nice new clarion unit.

Welcome to the forum Lisha and congrats on the new Jimny, looks really cool in white and at least you should be able to see the odd spot of mud on it. Incidentally what is the model of Clarion stereo you fitted with the Bluetooth and do you know if it works with iPhones? The stereo looks brilliant by the way. It's a clarion cx501A I believe. Works with android and apple. I made sure it all worked before I left the dealership this time.
