Jimny friendly garage in the Bristol area? was created by Sandspider
Hi all

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a Jimny friendly garage in the Bristol area. (Not an official Suzuki garage, but an independent who knows their stuff, is familiar with king pin bearings and other common Jimny needs, but won't charge official Suzuki prices!). Not looking for a cheap garage as such, but for one that will do good work for a fair price.

Or will any independent garage really do? Are Jimnys that technical? (I use a specialist garage for my other car, but maybe overkill for a Jimny...?)

Oh, and this is just for the big items. Basics like servicing I will do myself, but I don't have the facilities or the skill for bigger jobs.

Cheers.

Bump on this one chaps. I've got a few bits that need doing that I don't want to / can't tackle myself.

Anyone know of a place? Or will any old independent garage be competent enough to cope with the might of the Jimny?!

Jimnys aren't that complex, a competent garage should be able to do most jobs. The FSM is available on-line for most Jimnys, you could always give/lend them a copy of it. I have a Mazda Bongo as well as the Zuks and its not unusual for Bongo owners to print out the on-line 'how to' articles and give them to the mechanic, particularly when it comes to bleeding the coolant system.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.
