Did you replace the heat-shielding on the firewall by any chance?
Something I had thought about doing...mine seems to have a felt-like material which can hold water? I wondered if it was possible to take this off and put something else there - perhaps to reduce noise as well.

Yeah the original was too weathered, when I had the motor out i attempted to replace it with a noise/heat foil,not that successful there would be better products out thereReason2doubt wrote:
