Front and rear speakers now installed. The front an rear speaker kits were very easy to fit, but the rear trim removal was tricky, but i dud it all in a few hours

The 3 way speakers protruded a bit to far once placed in the mounts, so i had to shave off about 5mm from the internal front facia, just behind the speaker moulding. Now they fit a treat.

The sound is like night and day, a much richer sound now the rears are in. The car is now full of deep rich and very loud sound.

For around £150 all in, inc.. mounts it was a very rewarding upgrade.

A few pics but i kinda forgot

GeorgeC wrote: Sorry Andy. I must be the only one with one blind eye and one crook eye to see these photos, but four of the front photos show a twin cone speaker and only one shows a 3 way speaker. What ended up where? And which mount from where was used for the 3 way speaker? What mount/speaker ended up in the rear?

Sorry, i posted in a hurry.

The 3 way pioneer TS - R1350S went in front and rear. Martins store sells all the kit. Front mount kit allows for a 13cm speaker instead of the stock 10cm. The rear speaker mount kit also allows fitment of 13cm speakers.

The all black speaket pictured is the stock speaker in its original mount. The other more colourful speaker is the 3 way pioneer.

I was hoping to come back and re-edit my previous post, but editing is timed by looks of it. Next time ill take more care in detailing my posts though.

Any other questions please feel free to ask.

Edit - Thanks to Martin at the jimny store for a smooth trandaction and for a very speedy delivery. Also thanks to thr wiki jimny page for guiding me in this adventure.

Thanks.

Just quote the post and add in the information effectively as an addendum. That way the additional information is shown in the new post counter and everyone sees it, instead of either missing it altogether or having to read each thread from the beginning every time

Apologies, I couldnt find my original thread.

Perhaps a mod could kindly relocate it for me. I tried the search bar and trawling through the forum, but no joy. Anyways here is my smallest, yet one of the most impactful visual mods so far. Getting shot of them little egg yokes was very satisfying :) :)

Just want to get hold of the main front eggy indicators now, and get them clear lenses too.

Bought these 2 clear lense blinkers from global.Rakuten.com. Worked out to be around £17.00 plus £15.00 shipping and no import tax. Arrived within 5 days from payment. Very quick and pleasant transacrion via mastercard.

They were a straight swap, just popped out with no tools needed, just a firm tug with my fingers. Comes with a modest little orange bulb, but shows very little through the lense.

The slightly tinted ones would eliminate the orange bulb completely, but im very happy with the clear lense, and it just tones down the harsh look of the orange blinkers, allowing for a much better appearance.

A small mod, but makes for a noticeablely better looking jimny IMO.

They are a good fit overall. Not as tight as the originals, but they click in nicely and are firm enough not to budge.

Excellent!!

Oh....The old ones.

A bit of recent green laning in Twcross in Warwickshire.

Actually it gets a lot more interesting around 2.40 mins. A great little lane.

As with all off-road videos, the view you get doesnt do the terrain justice at all. It was quite rough going at certain points. The car got a few micro scratches thats for sure.
