Not bad, and much more affordable.

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.
ADOS Attention Deficit Ooooh Shiny!

Finally got round to upgrading the horn today with a Stebel Nautilus compact Air Horn. I've had this on my previous two vehicles as well. Took some doing to squeeze it in where the original sat. I had to separate the horns from the compressor. All wired in with a relay using the original horn wire to trigger the relay.

Standard horn

Removed the headlight for easier access.

Found an existing hole to mount the compressor to.

Busy weekend for me. Fitted the reversing camera. Not a difficult task. Rear bumper removal, rear seat squab removed (not sure why?) rear quarter panel trim removed, passenger side sill cover and front foot well trim removed.

If you use the green line you get enough room to open the rear door and walk around it.

The yellow line just allows you to open it as seen against the garage door.

Red line puts spare tyre about 8 inches away.

Where did you get the reversing camera? Is it a proper suzuki one and it switches through the infotainment system properly?

I'm thinking I might need one if I can't see out of the gangsta windows in the dark.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Yes it is the proper Suzuki item and plugs straight into the back of the touch screen. I got it from HERE as they were the only dealer selling them. I paid £215. but since then they have been officially released so any dealer should be able to get one.

Thanks for that.

They are £236 now- unbelievable, when a Chinese one is about £7, but of course, the Chinese ones have phono plugs, and the Suzuki unit doesn't.

Did yours have a green socket to plug it into like on the older units? I have found some info on them on t'interweb.

Thanks. There is a lead available for $15 to fit the generic cameras, I might get one of those when I get my new Jimny.

I've been saving for ages to get a New Car and it seems that the already huge price just keeps inflating out of reach with all these expensive "extras".

So I have just picked up the Jimny from having the full Dinitrol Underseal treatment. I dropped it off Tuesday evening and had a free courtesy car while it was in. The place I used is Rochdale Rust Proofing

Very friendly service and nice people to deal with, lots of pictures provided as well.
