Front prop now fixed - went to GKN drivelines at Leek today - the replaced the u/v joint while I waited 30 minutes £44 bargain - now all ready for Tong

New cat back stainless exhaust custom made to be tucked up as high as possible the back box is tucked up above the rear winch tray

sounds about the same as the blowing version before - fairly meaty 1298cc of raw power

hte previous one was made upof about 5 different bits welded together and welded to the chassis - the rear view mirror doesn't vibrate like mad now !

asked quite a lot of people about them ( made myself a bit of a nuisance )
every one who had one rated them and one guy went on to say it was faster than his warn 9.5 and another said he used his every day in his business and had had no problems
so at £350 with a 11mm plasma rope and albright style solenoids it seemed a good buy

if i had the cash, thats without a doubt the one id go for... and ther fact you have info on people thats used them is perfect!

Its on the list, the list that wont ever get completed!

winch now fitted by the wonderful guys at Staffordshire 4x4



apparently modifying the bumper to fit the winch required cutting off the strengthener fillets for a warn 8274 was a pig - took a plasma torch in the end





the solenoid box is mounted neatly under the bonnet



isolator switch behind the passenger seat



the electrics from the old winch was a bit dubious too so they were all replaced with cables at twice as thick



stealth winch!
