1st Jimny

Hi,
I have had my Jimny for about a week now and I think it is fantastic.
I keep finding pointless journeys just to get out in it. Unfortunately none of these are off road,
but I can't wait to try it somewhere. What would be the choice of tyre for mainly road use but also
good for occasional 4WDing? I have seen some in the gallery pictures which look good on the
standard wheels as they look a lot bigger than the standard tyres. Would I have to make any other modifications with such tyres on? Or what are the first suggested mods that people make.

A good set of all terrains will go on without any other mods, General Grabbers are good value, Goodyear Wrangler and BF Goodrich are both good but dearer.

For occasional off road they'll cope well enough for you to enjoy what the jimny can do.

Yeh as above really, 205 or 215/75r15 should both be fine on standard setup

Welcome, be warned..... once you have been offroad, you will go back and you will spend money

Cool thats great I will have a look around to see where the cheapest places for the tyres are, then try and find some places to take the car.

I got a good deal at my local tyre place for my grabbers but camskill seem to be one of the cheapest places on the net, just have to factor in fitting and balancing on top of the net price.

Put up where you are in the country and i'm sure there will be someone nearby who you can tag along with to a pay and play day.

Would these tyres fit without trimming the arches? I see alot of mention of needing
Lift kits for different tyres.

? Which tyres, did you forget the link of mean the 205 / 215s mentioned above ?

Also dont forget the reason a lot of people stop at 215s is for gearing reasons any bigger and you need to look at a Rocklobster and fitting kit props ect.
