Probably a stupid question

Probably a stupid question was created by bertbuckie
After taking my wheels off today i saw the bits I had origionaly presumed to be leaf springs were infact attached to the suspention.
They have 3 holes in them and I see something to do with caster correction? involves them.

What exactly do they do, are they needed because the shock doesnt go thru the spring?
If it was lifted would it need these correction bushes and why?

Sorry for the complete n00b question.....but I am one :)

I think you mean the leading and trailing arms, these basically hold the axle on.
