Hi all,
2022 JB74 LHD ,to which I am about to fit an 8000 lbs winch, now I would like to know where I can relocate the solenoid box inside the engine compartment, some photos would be very welcome

Hi, if the new Jimny has a similar space in front of air box as a Gen3, it may go there. Look around 15mins in on this link:

Hi me101
unfortunately the JB74 has the air filter box mounted above the engine, so there is not that space that the Gen3 has
I would like to send you a picture, but I don't know how...
thank you

Obviously the final choice is yours, but I was wondering why you want an 8000lb winch on a Jimny Gen.4? I had a 4,000lb winch on my Gen.2 SJ413 and that coped with everything I threw at it.

Below the textbox is an "Attachments" button. Click that and you will see "+ Add Files", click that, and if using your phone it will open up your gallery to select photos. If on PC you can drag and drop photos in. There is a size limit though (can't remember what it is).

Just to make sure we are on the same thing. Hitting 'Quick Reply' doesn't show the buttons.

Thank you, I found it and this is the photo of the engine compartment of the jb74 where you can see that there is no place there

Just make up a right angle tray with triangular support sides and bolt it between the battery and air duct above the fuse box, it needs only have a couple of rivnuts in the wing and it's demountable to get at the things under it?

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

I don't like the idea of covering up the fuse box because sods law will intervene and the fuse will blow when it's p..........g down with rain and it's pitch dark. On either side of the radiator there is room to fit a control box, the battery side being slightly more accessible.
