Hi
Checked 4wd engagement today.   No green 4WD light on dash at all.  No clunk.   I’ve checked the fuse - does this sound like wiring or switch or controller ?   If this were vacuum assume the green light would be on and flashing?  Wheel bearing was changed for the Mot last month (but hadn’t tried 4wd since Jan this year).
Any thoughts please?
Thanks
Paul

If you have access to one of the small hand held vacuum pumps it's worth checking that the system holds vacuum or with very low positive pressure if that's easier for you. No green light does suggest looking at the transfer box position switch for wire defects etc.

You are correct, no green light means it is not a vacuum issue.
The green light and vacuum system is signalled by the 4wd switch on the back of the transfer case, about half way up, with 2 wires. When you move the transfer lever to the 4wd position the switch closes, joining the 2 wires and signalling the hubs to engage. Check that wires are present and plugged in. Bridging the 2 wires on the plug end should trigger the 4wd light to come on and the hubs to engage.
