Castor correction bushes was created by Bigchridy
Hi all. I'm hoping to lift the Jimny with a 3" lift in either dec or jan. My question is do I only need to fit castor correction bushes to the front arms or do I need to fit them to the rear aswell? They only seem to be sold as a set of 4 for one set of arms. I figured someone on here would no as I never bothered with them when I lifted the Disco but that was only 2"!:)

Lifting the axle rolls it around, and upsets the steering geometry, so they are only needed at the front, as the back wheels are parallel anyway.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Hey up,

Correct me if I'm wrong and I certainly am not trying to rain on anyones parade etc but dont you need the radius arms changing if having a 3" lift?
I'm sure I've read that on this or other forum somewhere.

Hope i'm wrong.
Mine has the 2.5" spring lift with castor correction bushes.
Might be the cheaper option having just bushes and not new radius arms for the sake of half an inch?
Then again, I might be talking complete tosh, as I'm new to this game myself.

Just trying to be helpful.:)

Keith :)

The ones I have for when I finally get round to fitting them and +2" springs say " correction for 2" lift and degree of correction on 3" " so guessing they won't fix the problem totally ? I settled on 2" because of the extra cost of bits to do the 3" properly.

Keith :)

From what I have read castor correction bushes are for up to 2" lift. But they can be fitted to 3" lift to help (not totally fix) the castor. I would like to buy new arms but at the moment I cannot afford to buy a full kit from ora. So castor correction bushes will have to do until I bend the arms!:)
