I’ve got a reasonably standard 2003 jimny and am looking at installing a second handbrake lever and being able to operate each rear individual wheel by each lever, thinking of putting it next to the existing lever. How can I do this? Has anyone else?

Just a couple of points.
Make sure you have enough room between each lever to easily get your hand to it without snagging.
I suggest you convert each lever to a "fly off" system.

If you're not using the Jimny on the road then you can probably get away with something simple like that. If you are going to be submitting it for the mot though, you'll need to invest in a somewhat more comprehensive system so that you still have a correctly functioning hand brake that operates on both rear wheels simultaneously.

I've seen triallers set up like this with one lever either side of the handbrake lever, a plate welded across the existing handbrake lever then pulls up both fiddle levers and holds them on the ratchet. Presumably original lever is disconnected from the brakes and is just employed for the ratchet.
Think you'd struggle for room in a jimny though, generally fitted in a stripped out land rover.
Interesting to see if Jimny had the power to utilise them fully, could be interesting in terms of stability if not on level ground.

Yes was thinking of it for the technical stuff I like with wheel lifts etc, but was going to make a catch to lock them together which would surely work
