Hi
Anyone any idea how to remove the coloured covers on the door mirrors if indeed this is possible or how to remove the full mirror?
It's a GEN3 with electrically adjusted mirrors if it makes any difference.
I want to repaint the mirror covers and it's just going to be easier if they can be removed and the mirror left on the vehicle, but no big issue if not.
Just don't want to pull, push, break until I have asked for a little guidance.
Thanks all.
Mike

Easiest to remove the whole thing. pull the cover off inside and three bolts plus wiring connector are all there. The coloured cover comes off from the bottom first, be careful tho as the clips are really easy to break.
You will need to find that elusive 10mm socket, so that will probably take longer than removing the mirror

Did my Gen 3s and 4s, don't recall any issues, if you have a trim tool I would start gently from the underside and work your way around. I find them easier to do whilst attached but whatever you find works for you
