Love to see stuff like this - back in the day I had an X1/9 with an Uno turbo engine. That minor looks spot on.

The Minor axle is too weak for power upgrades so I've converted to an MGB axle. I had a custom propshaft made to go from the jimny gearbox to the mgb axle.

So cool, I love modifications like this. Keep us updated with pictures as you go. The engine looks at home in the moggie engine bay, and the saying goes "if it looks right it will fly"

Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)

Thanks for the positive comments. I have a question about gear oil if you don't mind. I've filled it to the level of the filler plug, but the gearchange is very notchy. Someone has posted on this forum that the gearbox takes 1.1 litres, mine took 1.6 litres. I'm wondering if my gearbox is at a different angle and has therefore taken more oil to fill to the level plug so the box is overfilled with oil.

What oil did you use? They're very unhappy with a gl4/5 blend and are very lumpy. They have to have a gl4 only.

Ok that's what I used. Is the engine top cover flat and level in the car as that would put the box about in the correct orientation?

I just put my phone on the engine cover and it shows that the engine is tilted back by 1.3 degrees. I wonder if it's tilted back more in the Jimny.

If I had mine on the drive I would measure it for you but it is currently getting a new head gasket so...
