32mm wheel spacers. was created by j bolan
Is it ok to fit wheel spacers to a jimny.i like the look of the wider wheel stance.would it harm the wheel bearing etc.i have alloy wheels with 215/75/15 tyres fitted.

It will act as a lever on the bearings as the wheels are further out, but with wider tyres it might be less of a problem, as the extra width is bought inwards towards the bearing.

All depends how good the bearings and other components are. My first car was a K reg clio which I fitted with 15inch alloys (back when I was a youngen) the car handled like a beast but I used to go through wheel bearings at an alarming rate due to the extra load (in the 2 yrs I had it probably replaced 6 wheel bearings), on my other car (ibiza turbo) which ive had 5 odd years with spacers fitted has never had any issues with bearings etc. Better quality car and components.

Fitting spacers to a jimny will encourage you to drive in defender width rutts risking grounding out and potentially doing considerable damage, f*#× the spacers and straddle the rutts like a sensible offroader should.

Just my 2p's worth.

I stuck my 32mm spacers on a few months back and love the new look and feel...... and if it means new bearings now and again I don't care!

There's a good chance you'll get scrubbing issues with spacers and 215/75 tyres, unless you've lifted the suspension. Personally I wouldn't bother.
