King Pin lubrication was created by P.Y.
Sorry if this is just an ignorant question: But if the sole grease-nipple in the whole vehicle is in the propshaft, how does the king pin stay lubricated...and how do you freshen up the lube in the king-pins?

Good question. The only way to lube the kingpin bearings is to take them to bits. Quite why this is for such an exposed fittig is hard to understand but has been the same since the earliest LJ days

Surely, it's not beyond the wit of man to devise a way of giving the king-pins a grease nipple, pre-war cars would often have two each. (with 40 grease-points around the car). If the Jimny could have grease nipples in the king-pins, with a good high melting point water-proof grease like Maxima, or Amsoil, then the problem of a short-life for the king-pin would be solved.
