Bingo!

98-05 jimny's, the diff ratio is 4.09:1 and 05-current is 4.3:1

Just swap the center's over's, problem solved. ;)

Thanks monkey. when you say swap the centres I take it the complete diff housing. Are the pinion longer?
would I need to adjust my prop lengths. I myself thinks it will be a straight swap but I would like to be sure.

Take the axle/cv's out, then take the whole 3rd member out, do the same on the other diff and swap them over.

Have you ever taken a diff center out? I can give more info if needed on how to do it...
