engine change

hey guys im awaiting a new engine for my jimny its a sohc 1.3 any ideas on what there like to change and any handy tips?

4 bolts on the bellhousing plus little 10mm nut that holds the dust shield on, 2 engine mounts, 2 radiator hoses, air inlet pipe, throttle cable, exhaust down pipe (2 bolts, possibly rusted in!) main power wires on starter motor, couple fuel lines, then unplug all the wiring plugs. think thats about it!
installation is the reverse of removal ;)
fairly straight forward stuff, plenty of room to get to most of it apart from some stuff on the drivers side of the motor.

Before installing the new engine its definately worth changing the timing belt. ;-)

i agree it will only take a few mins ..............and if it was me i would fit a new clutch too will save time in future

yea id alwaysfit timeing belt and clutch as matter of course it looks prety straight forward to me was just checking if there was any hidden gremlins when it can to changeing them, but thanks for the help once again guys

Should not be as the immobiliser "talks" to the Engine control unit and you should be reusing that if you fit the same engine
