Hi - on the insurance I'm paying around £320 per year for my 2023 LCV. I'm with Brightside insurance.

Value of our 2020 Jimny SZ5 has risen £1,000 this week according to WBAC

lts also shot up on Motorway as well, by over £3,000
Maybe it's the approach of Winter?

Yes the winter and snow some parts of the country had this week will push up Jimnys slightly as they become more desirable.

You are right about the weather pushing up prices, there is an SZ5 near me, it was £22k about 5 weeks ago, it’s £25.5k now.

I actually thought it would have been down to £20k towards Xmas as thought the garage would want to move it on.

Mind there are still some silly prices for secondhand LCV on Autotrader, especially when you can get one new for slightly below list.

I'm also seeing alot more appear on Instagram as boy racers/performance car guys buy old Gen 3s as winter hacks. They use them for a bit, take them offroad and then in the spring sell them on so they can go back to their performance/ summer cars.

It's Mrs Mike that drives it and reports that she finds it fantastic except on faster roads. `Experience has shown that trying to persuade her that she is wrong needs to be done with some care!

My local Zuki dealer is trying to sell brand new LCV Jimnys at £26,995 which makes them £4k over list and more expensive than any new LCV advertised on Autotrader.

Okay, we're on the Isle of Man, but knowing I could pop on a ferry and buy one for £21k give-or-take is pretty shocking.

Expect a dip in second hand values across the board in the coming weeks as Cazoo offload all their stock.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

WBAC sent an email today offering an "increased valuation" of £25,000

lt's more volatile than the stock market. l doubt Cazoo have many Jimnys

I meant there will be a lot of cars dumped at low prices which will cause a dip in prices all over. Cazoo couldn't make interweb distance selling work, I wouldn't be surprised if Cinch aren't far behind them.

If the general market drops so will our precious SZ5 autos..

Ah okay yes l imagine you are correct. Certainly in the short term.

l found out recently that WBAC aren't making any money either.
