Hi people...
I'm looking to ditch the stock vacuum hubs for the manual hubs. Recently had a branch pull the vacuum pipe off at the caliper end.

Wondering to what extent can I delete the vacuum system. I'd like to just have manual hubs and a transfer case lever and no vacuum or electrics involved. I know theres the cylinder in the wing above the front right wheel and a few bits next to fuse box. Not worried about light in dash but if it has a fuse etc can I kill that too?

Thanks

How old is your Jimny? The later they are the more control modules they have.

Block the brass vacuum nipples at the front wheel hubs so no water or mud can contaminate your hub. Cut the vacuum hoses short in the engine bay, link the two piece of hoses together forming a close loop or fit a single one with both end connected to the vacuum pump. Get rid of the remaining brackets, pipes and hoses from engine bay, underbody and axle housing. Fit manual hubs and usem them only when transfer box is in 4 wheel drive. Job done.

P.s. Make sure you cut the correct hoses and pipes! Don't mess with ABS cables or fuel pipes!
