Re:How do I fit the centre cap on JLS rear wheels

Hello all,
New to the forum, and the Jimny, so please be gentle with me...
I have purchased an 06 plate JLS+ , and one of the black plastic centre caps has been "hand painted", so decided to replace it with a new one.
I purchased a couple on line, eventually figured out how to get the old one off, but I'm struggling to fit the new one. Comparing it to the old one, it appears to be the same, correct size/diameter, but I cannot seem to "persuade" it to fit, it is almost as though it is slightly too large in diameter, so starts to go on, then tries to go on at an angle.
I'm reluctant to bash it with a mallet.
Can anyone point me at what I need to do to make it fit please ?
Thanks
Simon

You have to take the wheel off, they fit from behind. Push through from the back.

Ahhh, very many thanks Martin, once the wheel was off it made perfect sense.
Appreciate you taking the time to help

I had to tap mine out and back in with a rubber mallet and as Martin suggests they come out from behind.
