Well, Suzuki promised us a Jimny Commercial with deliveries starting around "June 2021" so l
assume it's on the way.
As for the LWB l was just joking about that, l very much doubt that we will see it.

The LWB is real, but I really would not get hopes up of it coming to the UK or even Europe.
Its the commercial I am interested in and I believe a look in the Portbury docks might get someone the first UK photo.

The picture shows a 3 door long wheelbase variant on test - hence the camo - in South Africa. As it is a 3 door, I will hazard a guess that it is a commercial and therefore sellable in the UK.

The thing with those LWB Jimnys such as that one you showed (which was photographed in Austria) is that they can be mules. The bodywork not representative of the final design as its the running gear that is under test. The new Landrover Defender was driven around for a long time as a "cut n shut" Range Rover Sport body. The only doubt that is raised in my mind about that picture is why are they testing in Austra if it is not destined for Europe. However the older SJ did have "Greek" variants that the rest of the EU did not get.
I am happy to be proved wrong but I do not believe we will see the LWB in the UK in the short/medium term and possibly not in the long term. Its original design was from Maruti who wanted it for the Indian market. In my mind this is the large market for it where Police and Army want a small 4x4 with seats in it (look at the Maruti Gypsy variants). This would make it more of an "emerging markets" model for Asia and South America with a possible "Ute" variant for Australia.
If there is going to be a change then my money would be on a minimal hybrid based on the current hybrid engine range which should just drop in.

Wondering if any dealerships will have any commercials for testing, what with the seats more forward and a grill behind could be a problem getting comfortable.

Guess it depends how tall you are and if you really need the seat all the way back in the non commercial ones.

There's still no information on Suzuki U.K. or dealers websites.
Can you actually order one, has anybody on here made an enquiry?

Hi,
Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and have a Jimny Commercial on order.
More info can be found on the Suzuki euro sites, try;
www.suzuki.fr/jimny
I am wondering what the final UK spec will be as some further changes will be required to qualify in the UK as a commercial.

The picture taken was not in Austria. The traffic lights would look different and the weather looks too nice.
