Today l fitted the rear speakers, which involved removing the rear side trim panels plus some other parts.

Having worked on a lot of cars over the years, l have to say l am very impressed with the Gen 4 Jimny build quality.

The clips used to attach trim pieces are good quality and easy to remove without half of them breaking off (hello Ford)
Behind the trim panels everything seems well made, the wiring is neat and plastic parts good quality.

The only minus point, the rear seat base seems a little flimsy when removed.

Fitting rear speakers certainly improved sound quality from the in car audio system and is well worth doing.

The job took around two hours, but a fair bit of that was faffing around with bits of double sided tape and foam seals.

It's a function of being actual Japanese design and build instead of European etc. Dreadnaught didn't have any issues at all that could be attributed to the manufacturer, aside from the seats wearing out and the kingpin bearings being poor. Issues from botched accident repair maybe but not from how its put together.

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.
ADOS Attention Deficit Ooooh Shiny!
