Easy.. best winch on a decent budget is a Goodwinch TDS 9.5 you won't find any other winch that is of same quality on budget money. Also comes with excellent service and upgrade features. And much faster than the all the £300 winches sold under different brands.

Tom is right, the goodwinch is much faster than the winchmax ones (though they do make a faster model now).
I have the winchmax one like GV42 and its ok, but very slow (and way over specc'd for a jimny).
Both goodwinch and winchmax are chinese products (as are nearly all), but to different specs. Both are UK companies with spare part stocks and I think they import parts and assemble in UK.

Goodwinch is the best and is not bad value for the quality you get, especially if you buy the rope and hawse as a deal with it.
However, if you are not likely to use it often, do you want all that money tied to the front of your Jimny for very little use and risk of theft? If not, Winchmax makes perfect sense.
