Hi there guys I have just joined this forum. I have a issue with the emissions that seem high because i took the suzuki jimny to the MOT station and the the emissions were twice the limit thus failed the MOT test any ideas on how to remedy this.

Were you there under the MOT? It helps alot if the engine has been hot a long time before the test

Is there an MOT tester on here that can look up how emmisions are tested and what they should be please. I'm sure they differ as Suzuki couldn't get them down enough on the pre VVT cars.
Otherwise you might need a new CAT.

Check your lambda (have a Google on how to do this) and check your exhaust for leaks. As mentioned previously the cat will only work when hot, so give the car a good blast before the test. I assume it failed on co2, and not hydrocarbons?

Ditto on the leaky exhaust. I've plugged the holes in mine and it has passed.

Dont know how it is in the uk, but in Norway you cant do the emissions if the exhaust is leaking.
I changes my cat to a cheap ebay one, hardly showed anything on emissions!
