Alright, so I'm going on a trip in the Jimny through Germany to Prague in December which I'm not concerned about weather wise. But from Vienna I'm going to Venice then Milan and then I was thinking of going through the Alps to Bern in Switzerland before heading back through France. Even if I avoid the real mountains, I bet there will be some hairy driving on windy snowy roads there so I just wanted to ask those who know the Jimny inside and out if I should add anything to the following: (Car already has general grabbers which are better than standard winter tyres I assume)

- Snow chains
- Spare drive belt
- Fuel cans
- Spare windscreen washer & wiper blades
- All emergency stuff like triangles, bulbs etc

Actually come to look at it that's a rather short list. So is there anything else I have missed? Any things I should really check before departing (I'll have changed the kingpins by then). And any driving tips for snow particular for the Jimny?

The rear brake shoes are probably halfway through their life but squeak a little.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys! Got an analogue mini compressor that works just from the 12v socket, works brilliantly!
And the emergency tyre repair kit too. It appears I had more than I remembered haha.

I'll chuck in my wellies then and a shovel is a good idea. Amazon here I come. What about a flare gun!

There'll be 2 in the car, taking our rear seats hmm never thought of that. I might take out one :D

I won't pay 22 quid for 3 meals!! I'll take a lunchbox with my mother's sandwiches in. They'll keep until switzerland.
