Not according to the met office its meant to be nice and dry and not too cold for the time of year. Which is what we need it to be simply because they put salt down on the road and salt and cars don't mix.

Good luck for your lass Steffan, bad news on that wheelie bin ffs :pinch:

As Lambert says, no snow forcast for us in Yorkshire - I don't mind a bit of snow action but don't like it hanging around - the novelty soon wears off.

This is quite embarrassing lol
It it doesn't I'm going to look a right 'pleb' ( am I allowed to say that? )

Wife is checking weather and things are changing all the time lol
I also believe the met office is not normally right rather than old Derek on the weather!

OK - I was waiting to see if anyone else asked this because it's a daft question. But it seems that it's down to me - so here goes.
It's my first winter with the Jimnybeast and I want to know what to do about 4wd. I live in the ar*e end of nowhere, but do use proper roads although they can get extremely slippy as we're on nobody's salting map.
So - if it's dry but really icy is it OK to use the 4wd to stop me sliding or do I have to be axle-deep in snow before using it?
I don't want to put the beast in a ditch, but I also don't want to kill the 4wd by using it wrongly.
Using the 4wd off-road isn't an issue - all good; but it's the on-road-in-crap-weather running I'm not sure about
Thanks
