Sorry I mean when i was kid you could go to a shop and buy fireworks with you parents and then set them off in the backyard.

Now they are only available to commercial entities with a licence.
Except in Canberra where the politicians are, there of course you can get fireworks, drugs and porn all legally , , , mmm wonder why.

To put it to rest.

1 Damn Suzuki for not adding the functionality, they already have ALB so it wouldn't be hard to add EST.

2 Damn the nanny state for tricking people into thinking X Y or Z will save their ass when they just need to focus

3 Disc brakes, seat belt ALB all big returns on cost. serviceability with minimal impact on serviceability and longevity. Here's the level of numby attitude, a guy at work just bought a ford kluga. it has a laser so you don't hit the car in front of you, it has lane change stability ? and some kind of special cruise control. He told me how he traveled down the coast at 120 (illegal speed) with his hands and feet off the wheel.

The more idiot proof you make something, god just makes better idiots.

Oh crap i'm old, sigh

That is a very good point. The more the risk is removed the greater the risk taken - I think.

Its part of the plan for a new World Order. Dumb society down to the lowest common denometer then the politicians can do as they wish. Trouble is 99.9% of the population are too thick to even noticed (BJ forum users are in the 0.01% ;-))

There is a really simple rule in life.
It's not the tool that causs the problem, its the tool who's using the tool.
Nothing is dangerous if the person using it is trained, responsible and uses a bit of good old fashioned common sense.

Why can they sell chainsaws to morons and not sell a Jimny to a sensible driver?

BONKERS!!!!!!
