hello iv got a year 2000 jimny with a auto box, it dosent select 1st gear and pulls off in 2nd maybe thurd somtimes would it be a solenoid or would it be within the guts of the box itself.

please can you email me if you had this trouble befor any info would help.

I fear there is a lack of knowledge on the auto boxes on here - I've certainly not seen anyone post with any authority on them and their workings.

You may have to bite the bullet and go to a transmission specialist.

Perhaps give it a change of fluid first. I've read that can solve a lot of maladies in auto boxes.
