Hi guys I've just taken my jimmy out for the first time after putting 2'' lift big tyres as I was building up speed I noticed the car move slightly to left and right as if there was play in the wheel is this normal with lift and tyres. Or is it something else if u can help. I don't remember it doing it before the mod.

I think you need to invest in the steering damper kit that's supposed to fix it

You need castor correction bushes. Its like your car driving on tip toes ;-).
Also consider rear shock relocation brackets.

pop down to an ATS (one that does 4x4) and get your front wheels tracking checked

.... free check

and £30 to track

I've just had 1.5" lift and noticed steering slop and on left lock could feel the offside tyre dig-in as if the wheel was going buckle under me.

after tracking, it's soo much better and it was only just out of track

ROAD cars - need tracking, but the off-road crowd couldn't care less

That is not what a steering damper is for , by fitting one you will mask the problem not sort it out
As said get it tracked and ballenced . . . Also check tyre pressure you want to be around 22-26 psi
Ideally you will want castor correction to but try the cheep options listed above first :-)
