I think those things will have a fairly big effect on MPG... like running roof bars all the time

dont bother my volvo lorry has got one on at work and when travelling on the motorway expect the wind to rip it clean off !

no problem mate seriously dont bother my lorry one rattles like mad expecting it to blow off anytime and will save your money and it wont look like its pimp my ride ,
