Alternative to carpet?

I was just wondering if there are any alternatives to the standard carpets such as rubber matting that is shaped for the Jimny?
Being a Landy owner I hate capets as they just get full of mud. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated as I will keep hold of the info until that Jimny lands on my drive

Be careful if using materials not intended for automotive use - some can stink for a long time !

That has potential! I used something similar in the load area of the Landy. I was hoping to stay a little bit more refined and although it sounds fettish like I would really like rubber

I know you can get dimpled as well as the ribbed stuff (This sounds so wrong ), but how much shaping is required to fit over tunnels and things as I don't have a Jimny at the moment to look at
