Lift Kits and Bigger Tyres

Soon enough, I'll be looking into putting some bigger boots on my Jimny.. but I realised that with bigger boots, I may need a lift kit.
This is her..
Can anybody provide me with a 'lift kits explanation for dummies'..? Body or Spring..?
I do about as much driving on road as I do OFF road.. so what kind of tyres would be best suited..?
The majority of my offroad driving is through (and over) wet, muddy tractor ruts.. So I'll need better clearance overall .. so will this suggest a body lift..??
Any response will be grately appreciated!
Thanks,
Luke

So suspension lift is the way to go for offroad use.
A bodylift only raises the body, not the chassis. Only a suspensionlift gives you more ground clearance. That, and bigger tyres
Regarding tyres, I would look at Maxxis Trepadors or Insa turbo special track. Depending on how much offroad you doing.

As for tyres an AT will suit best stay away from MT or agressive tyres as they suck on road especially the special tracks

No mate AT tyres are very good off road , granted not if your going to pay and plays but for farm track , green lanes and snow they are fantastic

Exactly. AT tyres are for gravel roads, nothing more
Well, and asphalt.

AT = all terrain ie works in all terrains , granted the real rough stuff on play sites etc will be to much but muddy tracks , grass, gravel , and snow are no problem hell if top gear can run 3 normal cars across a desert then a jimny with AT,s will go on a bit of soft stuff no problem
