Induction Filter was created by doomhouse
Hi, Anyone fitted an induction filter? I have hust seen one on ebay for £15. I have also seen one which looks identical for £50. I have read that if you change the filter without fitting the air sensor which is in the filter box, the jimny will not run correctly. The £50 one say`s it has a fitment included for the air sensor.
Any views?

personally i'd go for a k&n panel filter. its a direct replacement for the filter in the air box.

Depending what the filters like, could you not just drill/poke a hole in the side and fit the sensor ?

is it for performance or sound that your fitting it?

As it won't make any noticeable difference power wise and for sound you might as well get a snorkle that way it actually has a practical purpose as well as sounding good! :)

A bit of both, but mainly sound. My wifes seat arosa sounds better than the jimny. Plus I thought snorkles were only for wadeing as they don`t suck in enough air in to run all the time.

Hi mate I would just get a snorkel as already mentioned. They sound just like a K&N induction kit and also enables your truck to deep wade and they look good. I run my truck every day to go to work and its fine. It will take in much more air than the standard air intake which is hidden inside the bonnet.

Thanks
James

I've had a cheap induction kit on a car before, was ok when you were tanking along and flowed ok but would choke it up in traffic.

Black Jimny's don't get stuck!
