butcher hi-lift ? was created by reaper
i have been looking for a short hi-lift and found them in 32" and 36" both are a fair bit more expensive than a 48" or 60"

so my question is can they be cut down ?
are there any problems that may arise from doing so ? i new to off-roading so have never owned one

Yes they can for ease of having it in the back of the jimny.
But its handy to have plenty of length, i got a 48in and have had it the very limit when off roading.
